The courteous response from the front desk clerk or the office manager would have been to apologize for the lack of communication - an offer to waive the fees this one time knowing that it would be standard going forward but that wasnt the case. My problem is that something of this nature wasnt passed along until I was there to pay. I spoke to the office manager and didnt receive any empathy though I did hear the excuses of why this charge implementation was delayed since they wanted it to go into effect January 1st. They did point out the business card sized posting at the desk but among all the rest of the items on the desk, it was not a front and center - hey customer, you need to see this posting.
Nope - 3 times where they could have informed me of the new fee and they didnt.
I was not informed of it when I was called to say she could be picked up. I was not informed of it when I dropped her off this morning. I was not informed of this charge yesterday when my appointment was confirmed and details of the surgery were reviewed. Mind you, I had paid for an earlier visit only 7-10 days ago and this wasnt the case. I was informed at the time of pickup that there would be an additional 3.99% fee if I paid with my debit or credit card. The experience today in paying my bill was unacceptable. I believe the care of my dog was just fine. I strongly recommend not coming here for surgery. After today I will be going to a new vet. So here we are, waiting for my cat to be brought out and now we’re having to pay another $80 for new medicine.This place is just in it for the money, they messed my poor cats paws up. They never called us, so we waited thru that weekend and finally called and took him that next wednesday. 6th and they just closed his paws again and said that they would call us back that same day to make an appointment to bring him back that friday. But as the days went by, his paws started bleeding again and the discharge was back, so we took him back to the vet on Jan. After that we took him home and it seemed to have gotten a little better. Mind you we already had paid almost $300 at the beginning. We ended up having to pay for another shot that he had to get. We called and they said to bring him in so we did, and then said that he had an infection and his paws had reopened. 1st we had to bring him back bc he was bleeding from his paws and each time he shook them, blood and discharge would come out. 30th and my cat smelled so bad, he had dry glue all over his body, up his arms and all over his paws where it didn’t need to be. I was confident that the declawing surgery would go well since they reassured me that the laser surgery was the best way to go. On December 29th took my cat to get neutered and declawed in one go.
They knew she wasn’t going to make it but charged us $300 then had us take her home to suffer the whole night and then charge an additional $ 89 to put her to sleep! I will NEVER take my pets to this clinic again!!!!!
We took her up there so they could put her to sleep and waited until we left and call to get another $89 to put her to sleep on top of the $125 to cremate her. She had seizures all night and was barely breathing the next day. I called back up there before they closed and they said bring her tomorrow and we will look at her again. We took her home that same day and she wasn’t any better. Now my other cat go ill and we took her there $300 later they said she would be fine just give her medicine. They didn’t even have the heart to call us the next day, just didn’t do anything. This vet clinic is only out for how much money they can make! When you have an emergency and call after hours they never call back! My first cat was dying and we called several times to the vet after hours number and no one returned our call so our cat passed.
