Almost the entire lower half of the island is now explorable(Except the large city connecting the 2 sides). The wait is over! Explore almost the entire half of the Island, along side new abilities, story quests and side quests! We shall list the new features below!

This is the largest update yet as we are jumping into Beta V0.1, and it's not something we can add in a bunch mini updates, as many things in the game are going to change all at once. We have been working on UEBS 2 for a long time now, and during that time Black Masses has seen multiple updates. For those concerned, the development of this title is nothing new here at the studio.

Some of you have noticed our new project, Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 2. (Unfortunately the screenshots do not do the size justice. Below we will show just few screenshots of this behemoth. You know you've created something massive when you continue to get lost in your own creation. It's really difficult to put into words, just how big and complex this city is. However, the hard work has payed off! The city is mostly done. We think this city may be one of the larger/complex cities attempted in a indie studio our size. Part of the reason for the delay, is the absolutely massive main city 'Mid Ridge'. It's been a while since our last post and we want to thank everyone for their patience during the continuing development of The Black Masses. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Enjoy the Beta release! Thank you all for your amazing support! We determined level 60 was sufficient for the content we added. Note: Max level was not increased for this update. Many other small bugs/fixes were resolved. Reduced the number of knights and demons in Foot tower.

Shading improvements for distant buildings. Freeze lags some reduced somewhat(Very difficult to reduce this being streamed open world). Bug fixed where demons and other special units rapidly fired off their abilities in multiplayer. Many other small features/content were added. (Working on a fix, sometimes cinematic does not trigger for some reason). New explorable areas added outside of the city including a large cave. Loads of secrets and side quests located throughout the city. New main quest line continues with hours of content. Steam friend invites added to multiplayer. Thank you for your continued support and feedback. Our studio looks forward to continuing this incredible journey with you, and completing this game. And though we do not expect to ever see profits come from this title, we still want to see this to the end. The main reason we shifted to UEBS2 is so that our studio can continue operating, and we can continue to bring updates to you.įor those who have been with us from the beginning, you may know that Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator is the reason we were given the freedom to create this ambitious title. However, even though we have not seen profits, we are still going to finish the game. The Black Masses began as a dream, and will continue as a labor of love as it has gone considerably over budget and regrettably we can no longer financially afford to continue to develop this game at the same pace.

Our team only consists of 4 full time members in a studio with funding from our own pockets. The Black Masses has been a huge undertaking and an epic journey for us. Below I will go over some of the reasons TBM has not seen an update for a while, and why we have shifted development to UEBS2. We are currently working diligently on Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 2. We had also wished to have provide more frequent updates. The timeline was longer than anticipated, and we’ve heard your feedback for an increase in updates for the game. The Black Masses has been a long ride for the team here at Brilliant Game Studios, we have a huge love for the world we created, and the community behind it.
